The member of Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Muho said on Saturday that he refuses to resign. He is ready to implement his legal and constitutional powers.
“Before taking the post I made an oath to professionalism, transparent elections to Parliament. I do not resign because I am in function of my duty”- said Muho.
Linked to the latest political statements about his approach in CEC, he said that he cannot comment, while stating that is aware of the request for his dismissal.
Muho said that he is proposed by SMI, but at the time of his selection, he was supported by the majority of that time. “I am sacked by law and only by law”- stated Muho, member of CEC.
Ilirjan Muho made these statements while CEC was developing the first test of electronic ballot counting, which will be applied in Fier in June 23 elections. The voting for changes in the election commission is expected to be a priority during Monday’s plenary session.
